SIGGRAPH 2015, the annual interdisciplinary education experience and conference on the latest computer graphics and interactive techniques, announces the complete lineup for this year’s Production Sessions program. As part of its Computer Animation Festival, SIGGRAPH 2015 will hold Production Sessions, which allow the world’s most talented and elite computer graphics experts to go through the processes and techniques used to create the compelling content featured in blockbuster films from the past year. The 42nd annual SIGGRAPH Conference will take place 9-13 August 2015 at the Los Angeles Convention Center in Los Angeles, CA.

The conference will also present a special production event to celebrate Industrial Light & Magic’s (ILM) 40th anniversary on Monday, 10 August. ILM has set the standard for visual effects, creating some of the most memorable and even iconic images in the history of modern filmmaking. The company’s pioneering efforts in computer graphics, digital compositing, morphing, and character animation, among a long list of other advances, have changed the way visual effects are utilized in film, television, and other forms of entertainment.

“The 2015 Production Sessions are not to be missed,” said Roy C. Anthony, Production Sessions program chair for SIGGRAPH 2015. “In addition to our amazing program, we’re celebrating ILM’s 40th anniversary with a special presentation. ILM has had such a massive impact on people around the world, and especially in production roles, and we wanted to commemorate their work. As always, the production sessions feature the creative masterminds behind some of the best special effects, computer graphics, and animation in film this past year. Many of these experts have broken new ground with new methods and practices to produce things that have never been seen before. We’re excited to have them join us to talk about their work and share what they do with attendees.”
