DigiPen Students Created Animated Commercial for One Redmond
A digipen students from Singapore has developed a 30-second animated commercial that depicts Redmond's 100-year history and shows how the city might evolve in the future. The commercial, which debuted at Tuesday's Redmond City Council meeting, was a project for 11 students at the Redmond-based DigiPen Institute of Technology. The students were all from the school's Singapore campus and were required to visit Redmond and complete a project in order to graduate, DigiPen Chief Operating Officer Raymond Yan told council members at Tuesday's meeting. The assignment was particularly challenging, Yan said, because none of the students had been to Redmond before and were given just three weeks to research the city and craft the commercial.
