DELHI SAFARI : Govinda and Boman Irani go wild!
Nikhil Advani’s first 3D digital animation film looks super fun. And even though Advani confesses that it’s a big risk releasing it along with Karan Johar’s Student of the Year on October 19, he thinks that it’s a project that’s totally worth the risk…Delhi Safari features the voices of Boman Irani, Akshaye Khanna, Govinda, Urmila Matondkar, Suniel Shetty and Deepak Dobriyal. The movie is about a set of animals who are highly agitated about their natural homes getting razed to the ground. And hence they come together to convey the message to the ministers in Delhi that they are highly affected by the destruction.

These goofy animals abduct a wise talking parrot so that he can be the mediator between them and the humans. As the Delhi Safari team unveiled the promo at a press conference, Govinda and Boman Irani joked about the characters assigned to them. As Govinda is the voice behind the crazy monkey, he made sure he warned the media that nobody dares address him by that name. Boman spoke about the uncanny resemblance to his onscreen character- which happens to be a lazy hairy bear. The film has already won an award at FICCI FRAMES 2012. The makers have also launched a serious environmental campaign with an aim to prod the Prime Minister of India to do something about the state of animals in the country. And while the media was quite cynical about the success of the movement, Govinda made it a point to instill some hope in us by flashing a toothy smile and saying, “We will get what we want, and hence please remain positive.”
