DreamWorks Opens Redwood City Campus
DreamWorks Animation opened a new, 200,000-square-foot campus for its Pacific Data Images (PDI) division in Redwood City, California on Thursday.The new campus overlooks the San Francisco Bay and is 30% larger than the location’s previous facility. “DreamWorks Animation employees in Redwood City now have a home that complements the outstanding quality of their workd, “This new building was designed not only to give them the best tools in the world, but also an exception and unique work environment.”said CEO Jeffrey Katzenberg. Company executives said they needed additional space to expand operations and house departments under one roof.PDI currently has 526 employees and will add another 200 workers over the next three years, the company said. In total, DreamWorks employs 2,191.
