Bollympics Award ceremony by MAAC ends successfully
One of the leading 3D Animation & Visual Effects (VFX) training institutes organized Bollympics, a script writing contest for its students across its centres on January 23, 2013 at Marriott in Mumbai. With an aim to foster the craft of script writing and explicate the importance of a well written script in film making, the event saw huge success with enthusiasts participating and good number of entries.
For the contest, the participants had prepared humorous scripts in English and Hindi showcasing their art of story telling. About 370 students participated in the competition. Chief Guest, Mr. Pankuj Parashar, Renowned Film Director graced the occasion with his presence and shared his experiences in the journey of film making. Mr. Parashar judged the best entry and awarded the winner, Mr. Anand Kumar Singh from MAAC’s Andheri centre with a cash prize of Rs. 5000.
To applaud the creative efforts of the students, MAAC would produce a 45 seconds video of the winning script which would be promoted on various platforms like youtube.
“Along with technical knowledge and creative orientation, one needs to practice and sharpen his artistic skills well to become a successful animation film maker. We organized this contest to enhance the creativity and imagination level of the students.” said Ms. Bhavika Chouhan, Sr. VP- Marketing, MAAC.
Speaking at the event, Mr. Ram Warrier, Business Head, MAAC said,” We are delighted at the tremendous response received from the students. Through such contests, we hope to nurture creative thinking in these tender minds and with the kind of entries received we are optimistic that we have many talented young professionals in making for the film industry. “
