Calling For Mumbai Women's International Film Festival (MWIFF) 2013
When you have an inspiring or an original story, or the skills to be a good cinematographer or an editor or a good director or just the driving force  that makes you excel in any work you take up, but just the fact, that in spite  all of this, there is one thing you lack? What if just one thing or the feeling of it  stops you? What if that one thing is a big word for you in your life, “Opportunity”?
We have heard that ‘Hard work always pays off’ or ‘The road to success is only  through hard-work’, but, we all have the gut feeling which says that ‘I  need an opportunity to start, or just a little push!’ It is not being called  ‘scared to strive hard’ but it is called ‘need of a chance to strive hard.’
Well if that is what you want, then we finally have a very big solution to  it. Oculus Creations presents to you the Mumbai Women’s International Film Festival (MWIFF) 2013. Yes, it is a short-film festival, but what is the difference? This film festival has ONLY Female applicants valid to enter the festival.

Not that there isn’t film festivals who have women filmmakers as  participants and who have bagged the winner trophy, but we at MWIFF feel, that it was quite time when a greater amount or the whole amount of a show includes only women filmmakers. We do not intend to show sympathy or compassion to women, because we strongly feel the potential filmmakers in women is at par excellence and it does not need to be proven to anyone. Regardless of this very true fact, the society has not yet completely accepted the reality, whole-heartedly. And we plan to show this to one and all, through MWIFF, by showing ‘what a woman can do if she is given the opportunity.’
So this message is a calling to all the women filmmakers all around the  globe. A calling to every deserving candidate, a stage which we will give, where we will assure you exposure and recognition as well!
