Dell has announced a new line of high-density PowerEdge servers for a range of high-volume, enterprise HPC, “big data” and hosting applications. In such high-performance computing applications, the main job is maximizing throughput. NVIDIA Tesla GPU’s to provide ultra-high throughput for parallel tasks, and a high-performance Sandy Bridge CPU for single-thread jobs.
