Today 19th May 2014 Google is celebrating one of the greatest toy inventions ever. The  Rubik’s Cube invention was invented in 1974 by Erno Rubik. Erno Rubik was a Hungarian inventor, architect and professor of architecture. 

Originally called the Magic Cube, the puzzle was licensed by Rubik to be sold by Ideal Toy Corp. It is an interactive Google Doodle displayed worldwide on the Google homepage.
