Zee Institute of Media Arts (ZIMA) hosted MASTER MANTRA, an interactive session with acclaimed cinematographer Anil Mehta yesterday. With blockbuster movies like Khamoshi, Lagaan, Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam, Cocktail,Rockstar, Saathiya and the recently released Highway, Anil Mehta has had a very successful journey in Bollywood.

The National Award winner for his work in Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam, had a interactive session with aspiring filmmakers on topics related to cinematography and filmmaking. His journey in the industry has been very interesting with one feature film to his credit – ‘Aaja Nachle’. Master Mantra is an exposure for the students with renowned film personalities to understand the dynamics of the industry.

Sharing his experiences of conducting the session, Mr. Anil Mehta said, “Firstly, I would like to thank ZIMA for giving me this opportunity to share my knowledge with aspiring filmmakers. This session has been an overwhelming one mainly because of the enthusiasm showcased by the students. Attention to detail and the ability to visualize movie scenes even before it is shot are some of the important traits required to become a successful filmmaker”.

Mr. Anshuman Choudhary, Youth Business Head – ZIMA said, “With an aim to expose our students to learn from experienced personalities, we are glad to have Mr. Anil Mehta interact with our students. The session has definitely been an informative one with Mr. Mehta sharing some tricks with the aspiring filmmakers”.
