Tell us a little about who you are. Who do you work for? What job do you do?

I am Gaurav Nath from Delhi. I am a video editor and Vfx artist. I have completed DAMAVE course from Caba Innovatives, Delhi. Currently I am working as a VFX mentor for Academy Of Animation and Gaming, Noida.

From last 7 years I am working in this industry. How did you get into VFX? I started my career as a video editor in 2005, I saw the requirements in graphics and VFX to improve The video quality and then I upgraded myself in VFX.

Did you ever expect to get famous as an SFX artist?

Everyone wants to be famous and for that you need to be an expert. So I always keep myself upgrade with new software and techniques, and eager to learn from everything and everywhere.

Name a few of the projects you've worked on in the past.

I worked in TV episode series for Doordarshan, and various projects for brand like LG ,Career launcher, Eno, Knor Soup, I did some packaging work for the news channels and corporate movies for colleges and Business promotional videos.

What motivates you to move into a career in animation? How did you go about pursuing it?

When I was around 14 years old,I saw a movie named Chota Chetan. The movie inspired me a lot in terms of direction and effects. It was the time when didn’t knew about the effects, I thought its all reality and magic. It was the time when I was ready to learn newthings which I saw in the movie. Then I started to research in Chota chetan and then I got realize that it was all about technology and effects nothing magic.

What about those just considering starting in animation? Any educational or career advice, memorable  lessons, etc? According to my opinion its all about the concentration hard work and learn things including living or non living things. Both gives lesson for us and it depends upon us that what i feel and what I applied in our daily life and in our creativity.
