The third sequel to the Iron Man franchise and seventh installment in the Marvel Cinematic Universe is here. The man in the metallic red suit is back with lots of adventure, action, suits, thrill and VFX enough to drag you to theatres. The movie is produced by Kevin Fiege of Marvel Studios and distributed by Walt Disney Studios Motion Pictures. Reportedly, the amazing VFX of Iron Man 3 is done by 17 different companies some of which are Scanline VFX, Digital Domain and Weta Digital. Let’s have a glance to the Amazingly Amazing Iron Man 3 movie.
STORY: The story starts with a party. Yes, a New Year’s Eve party where Tony Stark (Robert Downey, Jr.) meets Maya Hansen (Rebecca Hall), CEO of “Extremis” that can help recover crippling injuries. There he also meets Aldrich Killians (Guy Pearce), founder of Advanced Idea Mechanics abbreviated as AIMs who offers them a position in his company.
In the meanwhile, Tony Stark has been getting panic attacks from the alien invasion of New York City. Restless, he builds several supercool Iron Man suits which inversely creates friction with his girlfriend Pepper Potts (Gwyneth Paltrow)
In a bombing by the terrorist ‘The Mandarin’, the security chief Happy Hogan (Jon Favreau) of Stark industries gets severely injured. Stark overcomes his stupor and issues a televised threat which Mandarin responds by destroying Stark’s high-tech home with helicopter gunships.
After the attack, Stark finds himself in a rural Tennessee after his artificial intelligence J.A.R.V.I.S. follows a predefined path.
How does the Iron Man survives this situation and makes his way out revealing Mandarin’s darker side and saving the president and the world constitutes the rest part of the story.
The story of Iron Man is simple which is let-down for Iron Man lovers who are used to abstruse and thrilling stories of Iron Man.
Shane Black, director and co-writer of screenplay has done a marvelous job which is loved by viewers and VFX has taken to a high level. The VFX has always been a stronger point in Iron Man movies which Iron Man 3 clearly represents. Instead, it takes it to a much higher level.
The movie is amazingly amazing with a balance of story, VFX and action. Hope to see the genius, billionaire, playboy, philanthropist American super-hero soon with lots of action, adventure and VFX!!
