Havok™, a leader in real-time simulation development and 3D visualization technology, has expanded the extensive content library in its Havok Simulation Framework™. The recent additions include a completely new Environment Library, which has representations for buildings, plants and environmental clutter. These models have been built by the Rocketbox Studios™ team to the same exacting standards as their industry-renowned Rocketbox Character Library.

The Rocketbox Character Library has been further expanded to include more than 30 new character models in HD quality, raising the total number of integrated modular character models to 166. These base models are highly customizable, allowing developers to easily assemble thousands of unique character models by changing headgear, modular equipment, camouflage patterns, badges and other unique identifiers. Furthermore, 15 high quality animal models with individual animation sets have been integrated with Havok technology. All the models also take advantage of the latest advancements in 3D visualization such as the Havok Vision Engine® to reflect visual wear and tear through the use of dirt and damage shaders, and all content is enhanced with dynamic textures and materials for infrared/night vision rendering out of the box.

As with all Havok Simulation Framework upgrades, this new Environmental and Character content is provided at no additional cost to current Havok Simulation Framework licensees.

“We have continued to expand our team and its capabilities, and this represents the single largest addition to Havok’s content library to date and continues to lower the barrier for those attempting to create the ideal environment for their simulation needs,” says Rocketbox founder Markus Wojcik. “We encourage ITEC attendees to visit the Havok booth to see all of the latest additions to both the Havok Simulation Framework and the Rocketbox content library.”

The updated Rocketbox content in the Havok Simulation Framework will be on display at Havok’s booth at ITEC 2014 at exhibit stand D130 in the Koelnmesse in Cologne, Germany, from May 20-22, 2014.
