Indian Animator and Filmmaker Varun Mehta continues his winning streak as his films does well at various International plarforms. Recently It was announced that Alltech International Farming Film Festival declared its winners and Varun's film 'The art of farming - Deep Narayan's story won 3rd prize of 250 USD(The only Indian film to win). The festival featured 6 films around the world chosen as finalists. The festival was conducted on 13th of August and concluded on 30th of August 2013. Varun's film received the highest views and votes during the festival.

Talking about the experience Varun said "It was great, this was the first time I attempted something like this, on the subject of farming. We faced really tough situations - from finding a farmer, to shoot in the rain, with deadline around the corner. It was challenging and challenge is something that doubles the fun". He further thanked his team and the judges of the festival for giving the recognition on such a big platform. "I would like to thank my entire team - Sunny Singh who shot the video, and the farmer Deep Narayan for his invaluable contribution.

Not only this, his creative visualization of showing the Importance of a 'Bitcoin' has Impressed the Jury of 'Bitcoin 60 seconds Video Contest' and he won 2nd Place in the Competition. The results were announced on September 3rd and It took everyone by surprise especially Varun himself. On this Varun said - "I don't know what a Bitcoin really is ! I was totally ignorant about the subject, I researched about it online and made something on my own. I made the video with a throat infection and with such a horrendous Voiceover played by me, It was still well received, so Thank you Bitcoin Contest organizers."

Varun has made a crucial announcement that his films wouldn't be featuring online anymore. He will be playing them on his website on a monthly basis. He elaborated - "I have realized that a lot of efforts are being put on a project and Its quite easy for a film to be uploaded on YouTube and have people to either enjoy or trash it for free. I will have 10 or 20 seconds TV spots for my films but they will not be fully available online. They will be posted on my website (http://www.varunmehtasworld.webs.com) on monthly basis on member's requests."

Varun is now working on his animated short 'The Hope' which might be released in December. He is also gearing up for IInd All India CG Digital Art Competition Awards to be held on 27th of October 2013.
