The 3^rd Delhi International Film Festival is set to take off from 21^st to 27 December 2014 – a week-long festival of the visual and performing arts – set to 100 years of the New Delhi Municipal Council – at the NDMC Convention Center in Lutyen’s Delhi. Organized by The Social Circle, this festival is third in the series involving entries in various categories internationally. Eminent film and art personalities, both national and international, have given their names for the festival, to be personally present when the show is on.

From films to singing, fashion, art, poetry, music and dance, clubbing various group performances also, DIFF 2014 is expanding to include it all – a promise to make Delhi the hub of artistic activity, with the objective of restoring its historical prominence in the arts, a platform to showcase Delhi’s own artistic talent.

And joining hands with The Social Circle in this grand week-long festival of the arts is our very own Society for Animation in Delhi as the lead partners for the segments on Animation Films, Short Films and Students’ Films. While entries have already started pouring in, SAID also promises to send select entries out of its AGAFA 2014 contest, to the International Film Festival. A full day seminar-workshop-panel discussion on the third day of the festival - 23 December – will be entirely hosted and organized by SAID, including a Live Sketching Competition, open to all ages. SAID is currently working on production of DIFF’s release montage, and has roped in its voluntary partner organizations – Flavour of Art, AnimDilli, Animators’ Point, Animationhelpl.in, and All CG Tutorials – to round up and motivate its own audiences towards greater heights of performance. Animation Galaxy as the Media Partners to SAID’s DIFF 2014 presence, will spearhead the outreach throughout India and globally.

In its third avatar, the festival promises to be a visual delight for fans of the visual and performing arts – a never to miss opportunity to showcase, network and rise to the next pedestal. SO BE THERE…
