Rovio's Angry Birds Stella games surpass 30 million downloads

Espoo, Finland -21st April- Angry Birds Stella POP! has been downloaded over five million times just four weeks after its global launch. The new ‘Lily Lagoon’ update will give fans hours of new game play through twenty fun packed levels!

Angry BIrds Stella was first launched seven months ago by a slingshot game. In this short seven months, both games have been downloaded over 30 million times together while  the adventures of Stella and her five kick-ass pals have also been viewed over 160 million times across Toons.tv and YouTube combined.

Angry Birds Stella POP! is gathering a very loyal following among female millennials.  Commenting on this fact, Heini Kaihu, Head of Studio at Rovio entertainment, said “Like all Angry Birds games, Angry Birds Stella POP! appeals to a wide demographic of gamers, but we are delighted to see it has a strong following of female millennials globally and is resonating especially in the US,” said Heini Kaihu, Head of Studio at Rovio Entertainment. “Gaming industry studies are revealing trends that defeat the long held presumption that mobile games are primarily a male pastime.
