Since its iOS launch last September the Rovio Stars title has amassed 7 million downloads and #PLUNDERED feedback to adapt the combat strategy game to community needs

Espoo, Finland- Wednesday 22nd April 2015 - Ahoy there Android mates! Rovio is pleased to announce that Plunder Pirates, the popular Rovio Stars mobile game is now also available for download on Android devices worldwide from today. Android players should hoist up their Jolly Roger, grab their eye patch and prepare to join the Buccaneer and his pirate crew to plunder exotic treasures and protect some booty.

Plunder Pirates is a Rovio Stars title developed by industry veterans Midoki, and is set on a dazzling, animated 3D pirate island. Since the game was first released on iOS in September 2014, Plunder Pirates has received continuous tweaks based on community feedback from the Plunder Pirate Forum and never-before-seen content and feature updates, hil(argh)ious animations and its very own line of merchandise.

The Plunder Pirates gameplay offers players the chance to build, battle and plunder your friends’ loot across the island with a crew of rum-swilling pirates. Players can choose to explore unchartered waters alone, or train up their own pirate crew to get more treasure and riches in competitive multiplayer battles. The game features striking 3D graphics, and is the only mobile strategy game with dynamic PlunderCam™ technology that allows players to zoom, swivel and manipulate the game camera within a fully rendered 3D environment.
