Munich/Potsdam, 27 February 2014 – The countdown to the 18th animago AWARD is already underway: Creatives from all over the world now should take the opportunity to submit their work in the fields of 3D/ANIMATION, VISUAL EFFECTS and INTERACTIVE MEDIA to the international competition online at www.animago.com. Participation is free and open to both seasoned professionals and fresh young newcomers. Registration deadline is June, 30.
The awards presentation will take place on Thursday 16 October 2014 as part of the animago AWARD & CONFERENCE (16-17 October 2014) at the Metropolis Hall, located at the famous film production place and media site Potsdam-Babelsberg, Germany.Since 1997 the internationally renowned competition has been presented by DIGITAL PRODUCTION, the leading industry magazine covering the entire spectrum of media production and visualization.
"The competition has already firmly established its position in the digital media industry: last year, roughly 1,050 projects were submitted by creatives from 66 different countries. This high-level acceptance among international studios, freelance digital artists and up-and-coming young professionals is a source of great pride for us," explains Jana Freund, animago AWARD & CONFERENCE project manager. "We're very much looking forward to a new round of extraordinary and creative submissions in 2014!"

· Best Post-Production
· Best Short Film
· Best Advertising Production
· Best Interactive Production
· Best Game Design
· Best Trailer/Opener
· Best Visualization
· Best Young Production (with € 3.000 prize money from DIGITAL PRODUCTION)
· Best Still: Reader`s Prize DIGITAL PRODUCTION
· Jury’s Prize
