The competition for designers of the future is here again!

Design Talent is opening its gates for the sixth time. A competition that isaccompanied by the tradition of the place, where it is held, starts on November 10, 2014 in a city connected to desing, Zlin. Young designer shave a chance to measure their strenghts, show their skills and face the challenge, that can bring many interesting experiences. This year, Design Talent is becoming a part of a lot bigger design event, the winner of the sixth annualwill be introduced in April during ZLIN DESIGN WEEK.

Design Talents is a competition for university students who can submit their works in five different categories. The competition is organized by students of the Faculty of Multimedia Communications, Tomas Bata University in Zlin in cooperation with JU Dr. Martin Ruzicka’s Foundation. As Martin Ruzickasays: “The aim of the competition is to discover and highlight talented people, who have the potential to become the leading players of the future design scene while enhancing quality and creative design.”

The open call, registration of works will be possible from November 10 tillJanuary 31. Then comes the jury meeting, the maincriterion being mainly creativity, original design, innovation and original approach. Students can send thei rworks in these categories  - product design, industrial design, fashion design, architecture and interior and finally graphic design. The absolute winnerwill especially be recognised by his / her colleagues from the world of design and get 4000 EUR.

Last year 550 creative works were sent to us and more than 100 were from abroad. Nikola Timkovicova, Design talent projectmanager, says: “Of course we do not care only about the quantity of works, the quality is still crucial, and i t is still rising with the number of enrolled students. This year we would like to takeanother step forward with the Design Talent competition, therefore Design Talent became a part of the ZLIN DESIGN WEEK, a huge design event that you will definitely hear more about.”
