TCL, the fastest growing TV brand in North America, today announced a marketing partnership with Paramount Pictures in support of the July 31 theatrical release of the upcoming film “Mission: Impossible – Rogue Nation,” produced by and starring Tom Cruise and directed by Christopher McQuarrie.

A global TCL marketing campaign will include digital, print, television and outdoor assets. TCL also provided its products to support the movie during the shooting of the film. Further extending the movie tie-in, TCL will package digital copies of the movie with the purchase of an award-winning TCL Roku TV™ when “Mission: Impossible – Rogue Nation” is released for home media distribution later this year.

The brand will host an exclusive pre-screening event at the TCL Chinese Theatre in Los Angeles on Tuesday, July 28.

“We are excited to be a marketing partner of ‘Mission: Impossible – Rogue Nation,’” said Chris Larson, Vice President, TCL North America. “The ‘Mission: Impossible’ franchise has a legacy of delivering high quality entertainment experiences, which aligns with TCL’s goal to offer consumers high quality products with superior content, stylish design, and the latest technology at a great value. This partnership is the perfect fit for our shared vision in the entertainment space.”

TCL is a rapidly rising home electronics brand and is quickly becoming a top seller in North America. It is among a short list of top brands aligning itself with Hollywood to bring theatre-style entertainment experiences into the home. TCL is already the official sponsor of the world-famous TCL Chinese Theatre in Hollywood, home of numerous major movie premieres, and the historic display of hand and footprints of cinema’s biggest stars.

“TCL has emerged as a true player on the Hollywood landscape. The global reach of the brand makes TCL a very valuable partner in our plan to build audience anticipation for ‘Mission: Impossible - Rogue Nation,’” said LeeAnne Stables, President of Worldwide Marketing Partnerships & Licensing at Paramount Pictures.

To further support the release of the film, the company’s exclusive pre-screening event at the TCL Chinese Theatre will include a showcase of TCL’s new portfolio of TCL Roku TV™ Color Series™ available now on Amazon. For the first time, the stylish new 32’’ smart TVs come in a bright new color palette – blue, green or pink accent colors. The new line of smart TVs features the Roku® operating system which includes a personalized home screen, 2000+ streaming channels and super easy, user-friendly experiences. The company will also be showing its new 65” Curved Quantum Dot television for the first time in the US. The new state-of-the-art TVs will raise the bar for TV watchers with best-in-class color performance enabled by Color IQ™ optics from QD Vision. The event will include product giveaways and hands-on demos of TCL’s product portfolio.

Paramount Pictures and Skydance present a Tom Cruise / Bad Robot Production, “Mission: Impossible – Rogue Nation.” With the IMF disbanded and Ethan (Tom Cruise) out in the cold, the team now faces off against a network of highly skilled special agents, the Syndicate. These highly trained operatives are hellbent on creating a new world order through an escalating series of terrorist attacks. Ethan gathers his team and joins forces with disavowed British agent Ilsa Faust (Rebecca Ferguson), who may or may not be a member of this rogue nation, as the group faces its most impossible mission yet. Starring Tom Cruise, Jeremy Renner, Simon Pegg, Rebecca Ferguson, Ving Rhames, Sean Harris and Alec Baldwin.

The film is directed by Christopher McQuarrie, with a screenplay by Christopher McQuarrie and story by Christopher McQuarrie and Drew Pearce. Based on the television series created by Bruce Geller. Produced by Tom Cruise, J.J. Abrams, Bryan Burk, David Ellison, Dana Goldberg and Don Granger. Jake Myers is an executive producer.

Paramount Pictures will distribute “Mission: Impossible – Rogue Nation” on July 31, 2015.
