ZeeQ launches animated series Fishtronaut

In its endeavor to bring something fresh, exciting and informative, ZeeQ announces the launch of a new animated series, Fishtronaut. Through this series children will now get a chance to see Fishtronaut – a fish that flies and breathes out of water. The show explores the environment and addresses social skills with a fun and interactive approach. It is tailored to reach out to the 4–7 year-old children. Fishtronaut premiers on 14 October on ZeeQ and will be aired Monday – Thursday at 5 pm.
The series tells the story of Fishtronaut, a fish in a spacesuit, similar to reverse scuba gear, which allows him to fly and breathe out of water. The show is set in the Smiling Trees Park, where elephants, monkeys, and other animals roam free. Fishtronaut is a secret agent who along with his friends, Marina and Zeek, unravels the mysteries occurring in Smiling Trees Park. Together they solve mysteries with the help of a magical multicolored ball containing clues vital to the mission known as a P.O.P. (Primary Objective Pod) in the series.
Sharing his views on the new series, Subhadarshi Tripathy, Business Head, ZeeQ, says, “We always strive to bring to our wonderful audience a mix of interaction and fun. With the launch of this new animated series, Fishtronaut, we are doing just that. The show caters to the audience aged 4-7 years, which is an age where children learn to mingle. This show provides the children an opportunity to interact and learn at the same time. We hope to bring in several such similar programs that are not merely fun or entertainment, but also offer some learning through it.”
ZeeQ caters to the 0-14 year age segment. The kids edutainment channel currently airs a mix of live-action and animated shows. Some of the other well-known preschooler animated series that air on ZeeQ are Dinosaur Train, Zou and the from the CBeebies brand namely Teletubbies, Charlie and Lola and 3rd & Bird.
