Rajnikanth's 'Kochadaiiyaan' to Release in April 2014?

The release date of Superstar Rajinikanth’s most-anticipated Kochadaiyaan was originally stated to be December 12, his birthday, this year. But, now reports claim that the makers are planning to Kochadaiyaan Release in April 2014, next year. Also, the music is to be released in February. Directed by the actor’s daughter Soundarya R. Ashwin, the story has been written by KS Ravikumar. A voice promo of SPB’s ‘Medhuvaaga Thaan’ song was released onto the net recently.
The film was expected to clash with Ajith's "Veeram" and Vijay's "Jilla", which are releasing for Pongal. Latest buzz is that the Rajini starrer might arrive in April 2014, during Tamil's New Year's Day. However, there is no official confirmation on the film's release date.
Kochadaiyaan features an ensemble cast of Sarathkumar, Aadhi, Deepika Padukone, Shobana, Rukmini Vijayakumar, Jackie Shroff and Nasser along with Rajinikanth. The cinematography of this film, which has been shot using motion capture technology in 3D, is handled by Rajiv Menon. Music is composed by AR Rahman. The film is produced jointly by Eros International and Media One Global Entertainment.
