Kundan Kumar Singh Wins ‘All India CG Digital Art Competition 2012’

Kundan Kumar Singh from Jabalpur has won the first ‘All India CG Digital Art Competition 2012’ organized by Wiz Animation Studio for his outstanding creation of a Digital Painting based on Marvel’s Iron Man. It also won the ‘Best Graphic Design’ trophy sponsored by Society for Animation in Delhi (SAID). Kundan’s Depth and his stunning layering work on his creation got his work awarded.  Following were Mahabir Singh from Tarn Taran (Punjab) and Abeer Malik from Jamshedpur. 
The results were announced at ‘All India CG Digital Art Competition 2012 Award Ceremony’ where Varun Mehta –The founder of Wiz Studio and the jury Mr MadanPania and SubhashSiddhu both from Society for Animation in Delhi (SAID) Announced the winners.  The Competition was organized online on August 27th where it received outstanding response, gaining a good record of 80 entries in the competition. The Judgement was supposed to be taken on creativity and depth.

PriyankaNaik from Mumbai and SavitaAgrawal from Rajasthan received consolation prizes for their digital entries. Amongst Aligarh Talent, Gourav from Arena Animation Aligarh and Garima from Maac Aligarh received certificates for ‘Stand Out’ Entries in the Competition. On International Animation Day, The event was organized at Aligarh where almost all Animation Institutes graced the event. Some visitors also made it from different cities like Kanpur and Delhi.  The event started at around 2 pm where Varun welcomed the audience and described briefly about the competition journey. 
The Event was further conducted by Mr MadanPania – President of Society for Animation in Delhi who explained his vision and passion for Animation as a medium and how and SAID is involved in finding new ways to help animators around not just from cities but from the countries to come together and raise opportunities. Mr SubhashSiddhu from Iqon Animation House Pvt Ltd and senior member of SAID also presented his take on the welfare of Animation Industry.
Mr Pradeep Gupta from Arena Animation Institute from Aligarh shared a few set of appreciating words while Mr Bishan Sharma, a Fine Artist and Painter Illustrated some messages further on the lines of Art and creativity. The next session had the best entries from the competition as a slideshow played during the event.  Finally the results were announced in the last session. All the participants from the event received Participation certificates from the Jury and the organizers.
Award winning film ‘The Wonder Stone’ film cast were rewarded at the event as well. All India CG Art Competition shall return next year with a new wave of excitement.
