MAAC associates with Indian Institute of Cartoonists for the second time to promote creativity
Bangalore, July 10, 2013: Maya Academy of Advanced Cinematics (MAAC), one of the leading Animation & Visual Effects (VFX) training institutes in association with Indian Institute of Cartoonists announces ‘MAAC–artoon 2013’, an art competition for all those between 15 – 25 years. Interested candidates can submit a copy of proof of eligibility and register themselves at any MAAC centres in Bangalore, Davangere and Hubli. Last date for submission of entries is August 10. The objective of the event is to provide a platform for talented youth to showcase their artistic skills and recognize their hidden potential.
The competition is categorised into two groups: General and Animation & Fine Arts, where in students from fine arts & animation field can apply in their respective discipline. For the contest, participants can create artworks based on either of the themes corruption or match fixing and submit their entries at MAAC centres. Shortlisted candidates will qualify for the grand finale on August 24, 2013. The jury panel consisting of Mr. Satish Acharya, Well-known Cartoonist, Mr. K N Balraj, Renowned Cartoonist & Copy writer and Actress Vyjayanthi Kashi, a Kuchipudi Exponent, Mr. Shajan Samuel, Sr. Vice President, MAAC, Binoy Joseph, National Creative Director, Radio City and Alicia Souza, Illustrative Designer will judge the best entries and give away trophies and exciting prizes such as Bamboo tablets, Galaxy Tab 2, Sony Cyber shot camera to the winners. All candidates will be awarded with a certificate of participation.
