MAAC launched its third centre in Hyderabad

Hyderabad, April 25, 2013: Maya Academy of Advanced Cinematics (MAAC), leader in 3D Animation and VFX training, announced the launch of its third centre at Hi-tech city, Hyderabad, today April 25, 2013. This is the first centre of MAAC in the city. The centre is equipped with state-of-the-art infrastructure to train students on the latest 3D Animation & Visual Effects technology.
The centre launch was inaugurated by renowned Bollywood Actress, Ms. Sneha Ullal Chief Guest o and Guest of Honour Founder & Director of Green Gold Animation, Mr. Rajiv Chilakha spoke about his upcoming and much awaited animated movie – Chota Bheem and throne of Bali.
During the Inauguration MAAC felicitated the team of Ega for winning the National Award in the VFX Category & the team at Rhythm and Hues for winning the Oscar Award in the VFX Category for the movie “ Life of Pi “ .
Knowing the fact that, quality and quantity of visual effects used in movies today, MAAC has recalibrated their VFX programs and made them job oriented. Apart from the regular courses offered, a two year career program in VFX will also be introduced at the centre. For the benefit of students, an inaugural discount of 10 % will be provided to those who enroll before April 30th, 2013.
With global production houses such as DreamWorks, Rhythm & Hues, Green Gold Animation and others set up in the city, Hyderabad holds tremendous potential for entertainment industry to flourish. In recent years, many small and mid-sized production houses have mushroomed, carrying out enormous outsourcing work. Against this back drop, the new centre launch will prove immensely beneficial to aspiring students and educate them with advanced courses and updated technology.
At the inauguration of a new centre, Mr. Shajan Samuel, Sr. VP, MAAC said, “We are proud to announce the inauguration of our new MAAC centre at Hi-tech city in Hyderabad. The 3D animation & VFX industry is growing at an exhilarating pace. Especially, since India has already started adopting co-production model and looks forward to showcase its creativity on global platform. We are optimistic that our new centre would empower students to encompass the strategic areas of this industry and excel in their careers.”
Mr. Ram Warrier, Business Head, MAAC said, “We plan to expand geographically within the country and set up 100 centres in the next few years. This activity is a move in the same direction. We see a huge market for animation & VFX in Hyderabad. Additionally, the Andhra Pradesh government plans to set up SEZs for animation in the city. This will boost the demand for trained manpower. Hence, at MAAC, we strive to offer comprehensive education in 3D Animation & VFX and make them job ready. I wish the new centre will provide excellent opportunities to aspiring animators to achieve superior training and extensive curriculum.”
