MOVIES NOW salutes these extraordinary thinkers and honours the Fantastic Four - Steven Spielberg, James Cameron, Danny Boyle and Peter Jackson. What better way to spend Friday evenings than watching your favourite movies on TV? Tune in to MOVIES NOW every Friday at 7:00 pm starting 10th May and enjoy the exciting cinematic experience with 127 Hours, Jurassic Park, Avatar and Lord of the Rings.

The 'Master Class' festival starts with the most recent addition to Danny Boyle's genius work 127 Hours which unites one of Boyle's most beautifully exuberant directorial efforts with a terrific performance from James Franco which garnered high praise. As gut-wrenching as it was inspirational, 127 Hours was nominated for six nominations at the 83rd Academy Awards, including Best Picture, Best Actor, Best Adapted Screenplay, Best Original Score, Best Original Song, and Best Film Editing.

What is action, adventure, thrill, suspense, drama, fictitious all put together in one? This is the exemplary work of film maker extraordinaire Steven Spielberg- Jurassic Park. The movie is regarded as a landmark in the use of computer-generated imagery, and received positive reviews from most critics. The movie is what one can call a colossal entertainment-the eye-popping, mind-bending, kick-out-the-jams thrill ride. One of the greatest blockbusters of all time, Jurassic Park is a spectacle of special effects and life-like animatronics, with some of Spielberg's best sequences of sustained awe and sheer terror. The film grossed over $900 million worldwide, surpassing another Spielberg film, E.T. the Extra-Terrestrial, to become the highest-grossing film released up to that time.

Ever wondered what's it like to convert your childhood fantasy into reality? Who can answer that better than James Cameron who accomplished his dream with Avatar. A complete visual treat, Avatar amazed us with its innovative visual effects techniques and photo-realistic computer-generated characters, created using new motion-capture animation technologies. The film broke several box office records and became the highest-grossing film of all time. Avatar won three Academy Awards for Best Art Direction, Best Cinematography and Best Visual Effects.

The movie festival concludes with a movie that bears resemblance to our own mythological epic Mahabharata. The Lord of the Rings is a fantasy adventure film co-written and directed by Peter Jackson and based on English author J. R. R. Tolkien's The Lord of the Rings. Set in the fictional world of Middle-earth, the film follows the hobbit Frodo Baggins (Elijah Wood) as he and a Fellowship embark on a quest to destroy the One Ring, and thus ensure the destruction of its maker, the Dark Lord Sauron.

The film was critically acclaimed and heavily awarded. The movie received wide praise for its innovative special and visual effects.
