MAAC Unveils Smoke Technology in Kolkata

Maya Academy of Advanced Cinematics (MAAC) – leader in 3D Animation and VFX training, introduced the newest version of Autodesk Smoke technology – post production editorial and finishing tool, today, at its Chowringhee centre in Kolkata. MAAC Chowringhee is the first MAAC centre in eastern India and the country’s third to launch Smoke Pro software. Chief Guest, Mr. Shajan Samuel, Sr. Vice President, MAAC India launched the software at the institute.
The event witnessed an overwhelming response with young talented students and working professionals from studios and production houses attending and acquiring insights on effective use of Smoke software.
The modified version of Smoke 2013 is equipped with high-end finishing tools that integrate editing with powerful visual effects enhancing the quality of output. It is an all-in-one video editing and finishing tool used for 3D compositing, color correction and motion graphics.
Commenting on the occasion, Mr. Shajan Samuel, Sr. Vice President, MAAC (India) said, “The media and entertainment industry has already started adopting hi-end technology for superior quality of output. Smoke is a preferred choice of the editors. We aim to keep our students abreast of the latest developments and train them as per the industry needs. We have also developed short duration industry relevant courses for Autodesk Smoke for the students and working professionals to augment their skills with Smoke.”
