Presidency College Students Visit MAAC for Industry exposure

Presidency College, a well-known institution located in North Bangalore offering wide range of under graduate & post graduate courses is known to encourage its students to learn, experiment and innovate. Recently, it organized an industrial visit (for its undergraduate students in computer applications) to MAAC (An Aptech Company) at Kalyan Nagar centre so that the students could learn about new age career options, understand what goes behind the (movie) screens and see exciting works in 3D Animation, Visual Effects (VFX) and allied areas.
The visit comprised 200 odd students spread into 5 batches and spanned 3 days from March 19 to March 21. Each session covered insights into the industry, the organization, technical works and career options in the new age economy which will be driven by much more than only IT/ITES. The sessions were delivered by Siddarth Baliga, Regional Manager-MAAC and Kaushik Hegde, MAAC student and an animation enthusiast. Mr. Shajan Samuel Sr .Vice President MAAC Says that the understanding of the media and entertainment Industry gives youngsters passing out of college a holistic perspective and rounded knowledge which in turn help them to be more confident , & sharp while making the transition from Campus to Corporate .
The tectonic growth in the media and entertainment industry have made it an imperative for youngsters to have a blended knowledge of the dynamics of the M & E Industry . Dr.Biswas Director Placement & Training at Presidency College echoed similar sentiments and said that the three day industry visits was useful for students to gain valuable insights in to the media and entertainment Industry , and will stand them in good stead while making the shift from campus to corporate . Dr. Muddu Vinay Director and Principal of Presidency College thanked MAAC and espoused that the Industry Visit ,was a great platform for students of Presidency College to learn the various facets of Animation and Visual effects Industry .
