Nikhil Shinde wins the ‘All India CG Digital Art Competition 2013’

Nikhil Shinde From Dhule, Maharashtra has won the 'All India CG Digital Art Competition 2013’ organized by Wiz Animation Studio for his outstanding creation of a Digital Painting "THE WITCH". Nikhil's Depth and his stunning layering work on his creation got his work awarded. Following were Rahul Sharma & Ridam Sahota both are from Delhi.
The results were announced by wiz Animation Studio on the ocassion of World Animation Day. The Competition was organized online on August 19th where it received outstanding response, gaining a good record of 72 entries in the competition. The Judgement was supposed to be taken on creativity and depth.
Abiee Malik & Kushgara Kushwaha received consolation prizes for their digital entries. The Event was supported by Society for Animation in Delhi & The prizes are powered by Animation Galaxy - Empowering Motion Online.
Speaking to Animation Galaxy, Varun Mehta Founder of Wiz Animation Studio said "I am thankful to all the participants taking their time out for the competition. There were some mind-blowing entries submitted this year as well. However, what I felt a bit disappointing was that the participants hardly go through the rules before taking part. Many entries were submitted without a work in progress snapshot or a project/raw file. A similar scenario was seen last year. Last time we accepted the entries, to give them all a chance but this time we simply discarded all the entries being submitted without any project files. The entries being selected as winners have been judged on originality and creativity. I wish the winners all the best. We are now gearing for our next Short Film Festival happening in March 2014."
